It all started with a conversation between Emily Goodstein and Rebecca Fox at what was then Meiwah in 2012. Goodstein was unsure how to properly mark her 30th birthday and was toying with the idea of hosting a conference. Fox was immediately supportive and requested to be publicly thanked at the event.

What resulted was Emily’s 30th Birthday Conference aka #EPGis30 which took place at The George Washington University Hillel. The event attracted over 100 participants and was covered by WAMU, Washington Jewish Week, Greatest Escapist, and Huffington Post.

Although the official #EPGis30 website no longer exists, you can still view the program booklet and luxuriate in the eclectic mix of education, whimsy, fun, and advocacy.
